OROMATCHA is a single-cultivar first-flush matcha of the highest available ceremonial grade.
Tsuyuhikari (つゆひかり), which translates to "morning dew sparkle," is a true gem for connoisseurs—a unique matcha derived from a single tea bush cultivar. It is rare, yet increasingly found among Japanese artisans, typically in limited editions or as "special releases."
Tsuyuhikari stands out for its exceptional creaminess, combined with a light body. It boasts a deep umami with a delicate sweetness—subtle notes of white chocolate or cooked milk are discernible. Simultaneously, it offers freshness and a slight floral quality, which may echo the genes of the Shizu7132 cultivar. Bitterness, if present, is incredibly delicate and elegant—it certainly doesn't dominate, as can be the case with some Yabukita matchas.

Kagoshima Prefecture, the origin of our cultivar, is a region exceptionally well-suited for tea cultivation.
Abundant rainfall, sea fog, ample sunshine, and fertile volcanic ash-enriched soil create ideal conditions for the growth of these aromatic leaves. It's a perfect matcha for those who appreciate premium teas but aren't necessarily looking for the intense, brothy umami characteristic of, for example, Gokou. It will also be great for those who want to try something new and unusual – surprising yet harmonious. It is perfectly suited for both koicha and usucha.
It tastes best prepared with just water – this allows you to fully appreciate its purity, unique texture, and naturally balanced flavor profile.
